Viva Oaxaca Folk Art

Boston, MA

web design upgrade for Viva Oaxaca Folk Art

About:

Viva Oaxaca sells handcrafts from the Oaxaca and Puebla states of Mexico. The website features a stunning design that is both modern and weaves in elements of the rich, cultural history of the product's people and region. It was built on the shopping cart application X-Cart, which allows for limitless front and back end modifications.

The Work:

Viva Oaxaca came to me with a beautiful design from a very talented graphic designer. They also needed to upgrade their X-Cart platform to the newest version. I was able to implement their new design and upgrade the store while retaining their old database with all customer orders and data. The new site is now fully mobile responsive, which also helps their Google search rankings.

Artist Brian Broadway

Houston, TX

web api development for artist brian broadway

About:

Brian Broadway is an artist based in Texas. He had tried before to get a website off the ground, but it never came to fruition. Earlier in 2017 with my help he was able to finally launch an online store to sell his artwork.

The Work:

Brian's store sells his artwork, which are one of a kind. He also partnered with drop shippers like Printful and MWW On Demand to help put prints of his art on everyday items like coffee mugs, phone cases, t-shirts, etc. For this he needed to be able to send order data for Printful and MWW to fulfill. I was able to build two custom API's that send order data in real time so Brian can get back to doing what he does best instead of trying to create orders manually on those platforms.

Elements Bath and Body runs on the shopping cart platform called X-Cart. If there was ever an example of everything that is possible with X-Cart, this website is it! To keep costs low and provide the very best pricing on their products they have implemented solutions that cut down on manual labor.

The Work:

Some of the work I've performed on Elements' website include:
- Upgrading their X-Cart store to the newest version
- An antifraud measure that checks the shipping address of an order against a database of known flagged accounts
- Social Login functionality so customers can log in with their favorite social media account
- A way to create samples from their current product line to offer customers for free

Que Pasa Mexican Fresh

Clarksville, IN

Que Pasa Mexican Fresh website

About:

Que Pasa Mexican Fresh is a family-owned Mexican restaurant inside of Green Tree Mall in Southern Indiana. They offer authentic Mexican dishes in a fast casual dining experience.

The Work:

Que Pasa did not have a website when I started working with them. I did some quick research and found that their nearby competition also did not have websites, which would immediately set them apart, and take up prime real estate on Google searches. The website featured their menu, their location, and even their Instagram feed, which I integratred into their site.
